I have used this saw on multiple occasions for various tasks since getting it December of 2009. This is an excellent saw and far superior to other jigsaws I've used. It is easy to use, uncomplicated and does the job asked of it every time. Would highly recommend this tool.
Once you use this you'll never want to use any other Jig saw but this one
I sent it back to DeWalt and I guess they fixed it, but the saw still won't hold a blade. I bought the largest 18 volt XRP kit DeWalt had to offer and got this saw with it. I won't be buying another. I already had a jigsaw, so I stashed this one away for later use. When I finally took it out to use it, it didn't take long to figure out the blade wouldn't stay in the saw. I'm going to try another brand. Good luck.
All my projects are getting done so quickly and painlessly that I'm having to find more stuff to do with my free time. It is smooth and quiet and feels really comfortable in my hands.
I used it the same day and it blew me away. Years of using cheap tools.
I recently bought this tool, as I am slowly replacing the cheap power tools I bought when I was younger. The quick-action blade release is so nice after years of old tools that require a special tool and lots of time to replace/swap blades.
I love the cordless option. Never again tripping over power cords is a really nice thing.
The adjustments are simple and quick. I am falling in love with DeWalt cordless tools.
The only minor issue is that it was a little difficult to insert blades the first time. The cut was precise and stable.
From my perspective, it worked well and allowed us to finish the shutters we made for the house. I bought this as a LATE birthday present for my husband.
It's a far cry from the old jigsaws. From his perspective, please continue reading.Overall I am impressed with the design of the tool.
It was comfortable and easy to use. This tool compliments the variety of 18 volt Dewalt tools I'm using.
I would definitely recommend this tool.Way to go Dewalt.
